Corcoran School of the Arts and Design

The Corcoran School of the Arts and Design, part of GW’s Columbian College of Arts and Sciences,

functions as an incubator for artists and practitioners in arts-related fields and serves to enrich students from across the university. Under the leadership of inaugural director, Sanjit Sethi, the Corcoran School provides a platform for engagement that bridges creative expression and practical application with the breadth and depth of a larger liberal arts education.

Philanthropy enables the Corcoran School faculty to educate the next generation of global citizens who are equipped to actively and creatively address the world’s most pressing issues. With your support, we will build on the Corcoran’s legacy and create an engaged, dynamic institution that is devoted to exploration, innovation, and education of the arts and design disciplines in the broadest sense. We believe the best arts and design school has not yet been created, and we are pushing the boundaries in the field through experimentation, iteration, and creative risk-taking.
