Student Support
Our culture promotes a commitment to service and real-world participation that teaches our students to lead effectively and imaginatively.
We’ve strengthened our commitment to financial aid to ensure that all students have the opportunity to find their #OnlyatGW moments.
With the help of gifts to Power & Promise for Student Aid, GW has significantly increased the amount of financial aid offered to undergraduate and graduate students to more than $297 million this academic year. Approximately 70% of undergraduates receive financial assistance from the university; the average need-based award for full-time undergraduate students is $31,000+.
With your support, we will:
- Meet a higher proportion of financial need and make a GW education accessible to a more diverse group of qualified students
- Maximize experiential learning, career development, and student wellbeing
To thrive in the years ahead we must open the university’s doors to qualified students, regardless of their financial resources, and provide programs and services that enhance student learning, career development, wellness, and success.
