Student Scholarship
Preparing Tomorrow’s Leaders
At the George Washington University, we believe that a student's talent and potential should determine their academic future, not their financial circumstances. Donor support turns students’ dreams into reality.

Alice Carmen Tchangoum, B.S. ‘25
George Washington University student Alice Carmen Tchangoum has long felt that becoming a doctor was her calling. Driven by personal loss and a deep passion for using education to tackle healthcare disparities, Tchangoum chose to study at GW because she believed it was the ideal place to equip her with the skills needed to create the change she’d always envisioned.
At GW, Tchangoum is the recipient of the Alisann and Terry Collins Endowed Scholarship and the Levy Family Opportunity Trust Scholarship. She said it is a special feeling knowing people believed in her goals and dreams enough to invest in her.
“It’s much more than just some people deciding to hand me money,” Tchangoum said. “To me, it’s people giving me a chance to make a difference. Because I truly believe that I’m capable, but if someone is capable without having the means to achieve, then they can’t do anything.”
”Thank you for investing in our futures and making paths like mine possible. We are deeply grateful, and we look forward to giving back to our communities throughout our careers.”
