The George Washington University is home to 70 dynamic research centers and institutes that catalyze research and bolster our academic mission. Several research institutes, housed within the Office of the Provost, draw together scholars across disciplines to address the world’s most challenging problems. 

 

 

Global Food Institute 

The Global Food Institute (GFI), founded by chef and humanitarian José Andrés, works to transform the health of our people and our planet. Using cross-disciplinary research and teaching, GFI creates effective policy and innovative ventures to shape how we grow, distribute, consume, and think about food.
