L'Enfant Society
The most prestigious of The George Washington University’s gift societies, L’Enfant Society recognizes donors whose generosity and foresight leave an enduring impact on the University. Named for Pierre-Charles L’Enfant, the architect whose vision guided the growth of the nation's capital, the society offers membership to individuals, corporations and foundations with annual or cumulative giving of $5 million or more.
Members of the L’Enfant Society receive a distinctive medallion and their names appear on the donor recognition wall in the Cloyd Heck Marvin Center. They enjoy a special relationship with the University’s leadership and receive exclusive invitations to events and activities hosted by President Knapp, including:
- Private dinner with the University president
- Fourth of July celebration in Washington, D.C.
- Exclusive receptions and lectures with notable GW faculty
- Premium seating and special access to speakers at select campus events
